Race: who did MLK save ?

It is obvious that the marchers of Selma and the kids at Woolworth’s were struggling on behalf of black people.

But they also did white people a favor: had it not been for the civil rights activists holding up the proverbial mirror to the white people, we would still be sinning our asses off.
